Just a top selection for a weekend adventure in Mackinaw City with fantastic value for money. The Clarion Inn was a great replacement after we found our original spot closed, and the staff were really helpful when we checked in. If you end up at a closed hotel, don't hesitate to ask for alternative arrangements right away.

We stayed here for one night and loved that we were just a short walk from the USCGC Mackinaw and breathtaking views at Gary R Williams Memorial Park, which made our weekend strolls unforgettable.

Beach access is fantastic, perfect for families. The room felt outdated and had some cleanliness issues. Close to hiking trails, which was a nice bonus.

We had an amazing time soaking up the fine beach views right from our family suite! The proximity to the beach was unbeatable-it was just a short stroll away, allowing us to dip our toes in the water whenever we wished. Plus, the heated indoor pool was perfect for relaxing evenings after our beach adventures.

The room had some issues—spider webs in corners and hair stuck in the bathroom. The mattresses were a bit old, felt the springs when sitting on the edge. The staff were super nice and helpful, which really stood out. Just wish they had a microwave and coffee maker to make things easier.

A night to forget but lessons learned

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The absence of towels and the poorly maintained room made it uncomfortable. We had to seek basic necessities outside the hotel.

We had an awesome getaway with friends! Spent some great time exploring Animal Tracks Adventure Golf and the haunted mansion nearby. Good location to check out local attractions. It was easy to find. Keep in mind, the breakfast options are a bit pricey, so plan accordingly!

One downside was that the room could use some updates. The cleanliness just wasn’t up to par, and it left us feeling uneasy, especially since there were dead bugs on some of our towels.

The view of the lake, something special. And the front desk staff were super friendly. Just a real nice touch.
